The Department of Migrant Workers said Friday that the Philippines is discussing with Saudi Arabia a special placement program for skilled Filipinos, as it is particularly looking forward to the kingdom’s booming tourism sector. More than 800,000 Filipino expatriates already live and work in Saudi Arabia, which is their preferred destination in the Middle East. Officials see more job opportunities in the kingdom under the Vision 2030 economic diversification plan.
