BANGKOK: Stocks fell on Friday in Europe and Asia as concerns flared about turmoil in the banking sector and the possibility of exacerbating recession risks, according to the Associated Press.

European standards tumbled, with shares in Deutsche Bank falling more than 10 percent. Reports said its shares fell because the company was facing higher costs to insure itself against default. US futures turned lower and oil prices fell more than $2.
